President's Message

Hi Pantowners

The Club Birthday Party is coming up soon on November 21 at the Eagles. Be sure to get your reservations in as soon as possible. I need a head count for the meal. I have an insert in the siftings. This will be a great time.

Nominations have started and individuals are accepting, you can also volunteer. Any questions, just ask Jim Zwilling or any member of the nominating committee.

Our meetings are at the Moose in Waite Park.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Jim Stodolka, President

Vice-President's Report

Hello Fellow Pantowner's,
Well the leaves are falling and it won't be long until we start a new year. My hope is that all is going well with every one of you.

I would like to thank Don Wieber for lining up the two patrol officers that spoke at our last general meeting. They provided some very good information regarding commercial and non commercial vehicles.

I would also like to thank Harry Grimley for chairing the Pan Committee this year. Harry you and the rest of the Pan Committee did an awesome job and the cars looked great. I think the Pan cars probably toured as much as they ever have and I'm sure a lot of people learned about our club and the origin of the Pan.

Harry and I brought Pan 2 out to Ellingson's last week and it is now in their care for the winter.

I also would like to thank Betty Grimley, Kirk Dickinson, Joan Blanchard and John Weber for your help on the nomination committee. I want to thank Dennis Arntson, Darlene Dickinson, Shawn Nelson and Jim Rugg for accepting nominations at the last meeting. This is your club and it can not function without people willing to get involved. Please consider running for a board position this year, I'm sure you will not be disappointed that you did.

Take Care Out There and Drive Safely Everyone.

Jim Zwilling, Vice President

Car Show Report

We had our Thank You plaque party at Rick Gayken's place on October 10th. We had 18-20 people show up and we had a good time. A BIG THANKS! to Rick for hosting the event. We made 20 plaques to give to businesses/people who gave us major support for our car show. I sent out 20 Thank You cards to other businesses and people who also support our club and show.

Everything is pretty much wrapped up from this car show. I have some notes to straighten out and give to Jim S. to help him with next years show. I hope everyone will support Jim next year as much as you suppported me. It really made the job easier and I THANK YOU ALL!

Sporting a custom body by Dietrich of Detroit, Michigan, this 1930 Franklin Deauville Sedan is one of only three known to exist. Once owned by Bill Harrah of casino fame, it was then purchased by William Longley of Atlanta, Georgia, in 1989. He had it completely restored by Odyssey Restoration of Spring Lake Park, Minnesota. We bought it from Mr. Longley in August of 2004. The Lee tires are very rare.
